What prizes are awarded?
PRIZES ARE AWARDED TO THE FOLLOWING:
1. Top fundraising team or club
2. Largest team or club
3. Top Individuals that raise the most money.
4. Top three poker hands.
To be eligible for prizes/awards, all participants must be registered and all fundraising handed in on or before midnight on September 8th, 2021.
Prizes will be mailed to the winners following the event.
What is the Rode and Raised program?
In 2019 the Westcoast Motorcycle Ride to Live and Prostate Cancer Foundation BC launched the Rode and Raised fundraising program.
Riders who raise more than a $1,000 will receive a Rode and Raised patch. As riders reach fundraising milestones they will be presented with a new patch at our celebration event each year. These patches are proudly sewn to motorcycle leathers, acknowledging their efforts and dedication to the fight against prostate cancer here in BC.
Fundraising milestones will start at $1,000 with increments of $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, and $25,000.
Terms and Conditions
When $1,000 in fundraising is reached the individual will be presented with a Rode and Raised patch at the Westcoast Motorcycle Ride to Live celebration.
Denominal patches of $1,000, $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, and $25,000 will be presented each year at the Westcoast Motorcycle Ride to Live celebration event.
Starting 2018, total amounts raised per Rider will be tracked per year and added to previous year.
Those who have raised funds in the past can request credit for previous fundraising totals, by speaking with Prostate Cancer Foundation BC office and completing the required form. All previous fundraising will be reviewed and checked against our database.
Once previous fundraising has been approved by the office, the individual will be contacted and informed of where to receive their Rode and Raised Patch.
All fundraising must be collected and submitted online before 12:00 pm PST on September 11th, 2020.
Any additional fundraising received after the deadline or at event will be totaled and added to the following years fundraising.
Where can I buy Ride to Live merchandise?
Click on the Shop link in the menu! We are able to ship your items within BC for a flate rate of $10 or you may pick up your items from our office. We also have some vintage gear available that is not pictured in our shop! For more information, call 604-574-4012 or shoot us an email.
Guidelines for the Ride the Highway My Way- virtual event 2021
Guidelines for the Ride to Live – Ride the Highway My Way Event 2021
First you need to register for the 2021 Riding through History event. This event allows you to dictate which 5 separate historical / interesting spots that you will go to in your community. Once at the spot simply take a selfie and once you have finished all 5 locations email firstname.lastname@example.org with those 5 pictures. Please include your name and the locations visited. You will then be given the opportunity to pick 5 numbers which will make up your poker hands.
We all have those wonderful places in our community that make them unique. This is your opportunity to highlight them and show them off.
Need examples of places that would be great to see.
Trestle or covered Bridge
Old Distinct Architecture
Oldest Church in your area
Oldest pub / bar within 200 miles
Coolest body of water (waterfall, clear water, etc.)
Statue or memorial (ex. Terry Fox Memorial)
Picture with something historical (ex. cannon / lighthouse)
Lowest population sign around you.
Your favorite restaurant stop on your ride
Favorite motorcycle bike shop and or mechanic
Historic highway/road sign
Deadline for picture submissions is September 10th at midnight.
Winners will be announced September 12 in a wrap-up video posted on-line after 1pm PST.
